It’s important for us as hitters to really be able to “stay back” I don’t like this term for me personally because it’s always caused me to either be late or get lungey at the plate. Instead, I like terms “coiling into that back hip” and “turning against the front side” another term I really like is “swing your foot down”. Our swings come from the back hip. These moves have to be practiced and practiced and practiced. ON TIME = IN CONTROL
